2008 LOCAL PRODUCE BROCHURE AVAILABLE

If you want fresh local produce, the 2008 edition of local produce stands and you-pick-it farms is now available. The brochure, entitled "Local Produce 2008 Season", is produced by the Master Gardener Volunteers in a cooperative 5-county effort, and is in its fourth year of printing. Over 30 listings tell where to buy or pick the best fruit and vegetables in Chowan, Gates, Perquimans, Pasquotank and Camden counties. You can find organic produce, honey, eggs, grass-fed beef, chickens, turkey, and ducks as well.

Beginning in the spring with strawberries and spinach to blueberries and melons in the heat of summer to pumpkins in the fall and collards in the winter, some of the best and healthiest eating is right here in our local area. With gas prices rising what better way to enjoy the local scene by taking a ride in the country to pick some sweet berries right off the vine? This is a fantastic way to support our local farmers and give our kids a chance to see exactly where these healthy foods come from. Picking blueberries early in the morning and having muffins or a pie later that day is pure ecstasy!

To all our loyal clients & friends:

Pat and I would like to first thank you for your continued support to our Salon. It’s because of you that we strive to bring you a level of excellence unparalleled to any other Salon in Elizabeth City that you may have experienced in the past.

You will notice some positive up coming changes in the near future, as we are in the process of totally re-inventing ourselves.

We regret to inform you at this time that we have recently lost some of our staff members to seek other career paths and we wish them the best in their endeavors.

On a brighter note, we have interviewed and acquired new, passionate technicians that have many years of experience in their specific fields and are eager to share our vision.

Thank you again and please bear with us during this transition
