Elizabeth City Downtown Waterfront Market Extended!!

Due to the inclement weather last weekend (or should I say what was predicted) the Harvest Festival at The Downtown Waterfront Market has been rescheduled to Saturday Nov 1st. I have attached a word document that has information about what is going on.

We have an "Anything But Pie" contest for any home baker who would like to show off their talents in the kitchen. If you can make it from Pumpkin or Sweet Potato its in, but No Pie. We also have kids games and activities and a costume contest for pets and their owners. Sparky the fire-dog will be there too!! We are hoping to end the season with a bang.

Showcase your goulish talent (or lack thereof) with friends and guests cheering you on. The rules of a (fun) karaoke night -- be bold, go forth alone or in large groups, pick cheesy dance songs, pay attention to the monitor, ALWAYS hail the performer, and HAVE FUN! The best karaoke is when it's not necessarily the best karaoke. You know what I mean. Don't fret, however. Even if no one has Karaoke Kahonas, there will still be entertainment. Kathi Hartzell, our Karaoke Kween for the evening, will showcase her professional singing talent for your enjoyment. Just remember...

On Tuesday, October 21st, a 1930's Schooner called the Mistress sailed into Elizabeth City, North Carolina. The owners of the Mistress, Skip & Kathleen, were very gracious in letting our office take some photos of this marvelous boat. Yesterday, when I went out to take photos of their boat they decided to doll it up with their flags. However, in addition to their flags, they asked to borrow one of our Elizabeth City flags to have on it (which is in the middle, and you'll be able to see in the following photo). * Click the photos to see them in a larger format!
