Immerse Yourself in the Arts at Harbor Arts Festival, Aug. 29-30
Elizabeth City's "Harbor of Hospitality®" hosts!

(Elizabeth City, NC, Aug. 7, 2009) – More than 30 national artists, craftsmen and photographers will display and sell their work along Elizabeth City's lively Main Street when Harbor Arts Festival is presented Aug. 29-30.

Now in its third year, the juried outdoor show is staged by Arts of the Albemarle, a regional non-profit arts organization representing Pasquotank, Gates and Camden counties. Festival organizers say the weekend is a true celebration of the arts!

"The Elizabeth City area is a vibrant arts destination with a wealth of artists, photographers and artisans," said Festival Chairwoman Lisa Winslow. "We are proud to showcase our community to both our visiting artists and those who appreciate the arts." [read more]

Moth Boat National Regatta information

Moth Boat National Regatta and dinner on September 19, 2009

The dinner is being sponsored by the Guild of Museum Friends. Tickets are $10 and are available at the Museum of the Albemarle or from Members of the Guild of Museum Friends. The dinner of Fried Chicken, Bar B Q with sides Iced Tea and desert will be held on the Porch of the Museum of the Albemarle from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. The Guild made a commitment to this as a service to the community. They are looking forward to a great turnout.
