The City Wine Sellar Bakery Deli & Wine Bar is hosting an Italian dinner to benefit Elizabeth City Downtown Inc.

From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday, March 30 patrons may pick up their meals or dine in. The menu includes stuffed pasta shells with Alfredo sauce, meat lasagna, seasoned green beans and garlic bread. Drinks and homemade desserts also will be available for an additional charge.

Meals will go for $7 per person, with the proceeds benefitting Elizabeth City Downtown Inc.

Peggy Langley, executive director of Elizabeth City Downtown Inc., said the fund-raiser will help replenish funds the organization spent last year to help decorate the downtown for Christmas.

"This past winter, we bought additional new Christmas decorations for Main Street to the tune of $14,000," Langley said. "That pretty much wiped out our accounts."

Langley said City Wine Sellar owner Debbie Malenfant serves on Elizabeth City Downtown's board.

Tickets for the dinner are available for advance purchase at The City Wine Sellar, 102 S. Water St., MMT Printers Inc., 605 E. Fearing St., or The Framery, 116 N. Poindexter St. Langley said some tickets may be available the day of the event, depending on the pre-sale.

For more information, contact Elizabeth City Downtown at 252-338-4104.
