Note from Page After Page Bookstore

Dear Writers and Poets,

March 10th's writing group left me so inspired, I moved the "complete by" date of my own novel from December to June. Quite an amazing decision, considering that I'm a lifelong procrastinator. Even if there were only three of us sitting in that little corner of the bookstore, we came up with a lot of ideas and goals. One of our main goals is to be published--preferably by the end of this year. But the biggest goal we all have is to keep motivated and see our projects to the very end.

Some other items we discussed were:

- workshops and author meetings every quarter
- talking with local writers
- marketing, especially self-marketing (a skill a lot of writers need to develop)
- publishing with a small press or going with the big houses
- monthly research projects (where we will research an area or trend of the publishing industry and present it to the rest of the group)

Sounds like something you'd be interested in? If so, join us! We'll be meeting Wednesday, April 8 from 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm.
