I am raising money to support a local organization Albemarle Hopeline. Albemarle Hopeline is a private non-profit organization that provides comprehensive direct and preventive services to victims of family violence, sexual assault and teen dating violence in the counties of Pasquotank, Camden, Chowan, Currituck, Perquimans, and Gates (Northeast, NC). The vision is the elimination of domestic violence and sexual assault through education, intervention, support and transitional assistance until the dream comes true.

We are having a Lucky Duck Derby; where more than 5000 yellow rubber ducks will race in Charles Creek Park along the Elizabeth City Waterfront to raise money.

What if your duck wins? The winning ducks across the finish line win fantastic prizes with the first place duck winning $5,000! You need not be present to win.

What about watching the race? May 16, 2009 at 11:00 am the event is free and open to the public, so adopt your ducks, come downtown to the Elizabeth City Waterfront and watch your duck race!

How to Adopt a Duck:

Go to www.duckrace.com/elizabethcity

Click the icon "adopt a duck"

You will be asked; do you have an adoption paper - CLICK NO

From the drop down menu select your team name (Long and Foster Real
Estate*)

From the drop down menu select your team member (Erin Nixon*)

From the drop down menu select where you heard about the adoption

Click you are 18 (only if you are 18 or older)

Click you agree to the rules

Click Continue and you will automatically be sent to the page you
select your packages

Enter your Quantity (it will automatically total your order)

Click Continue

Enter your payment information and click adopt your duck at the bottom!
