-- Fireworks, fun and a special performance by Army’s TRADOC Band --
(Elizabeth City, NC, June 17, 2009 *edited version on June 25, 2009*) – The Elizabeth City waterfront will sparkle and sizzle when the "Harbor of Hospitality" hosts a "Fabulous Fourth on the River," July 4 from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Waterfront Park. Independence Day revelers will be treated to:
- Taste-tempting food for purchase from Bob-B-Q, Logan Raye’s Key West Grill, Thumpers Downtown Bar & Grille, and Rick’s Snack & Chat
- Children’s activities, such face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses and games
- Music by the UpHill Band, playing a mix of Texas and Chicago-style
blues - A featured performance by the Army’s premier concert band, performed on the Museum of the Albemarle green
- A 20-minute long fireworks display
