Body Check! Set Port Discover’s Second Saturday Science, May 8
Elizabeth City, NC — What is blood pressure? How can it be measured? What is normal heart rate and temperature? Pamela Etheridge, Community Health Nurse with Albemarle Health, will lead Body Check!, Port Discover’s Second Saturday Science, Saturday, May 8 at 11:00 am. Ms. Etheridge will teach the children how to test for these vital signs and explain why they are so important to our health. Children are encouraged to wear sneakers and dress comfortably.
Second Saturday Science is free, thanks to the program sponsor, Gateway Bank. Reservations are required. Please call 252-338-6117 for registration.
Port Discover is located at 611 E. Main Street, Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Port Discover’s new Saturday hours are 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Port Discover is a community-based, non-profit organization, established to enhance the public’s understanding and enjoyment of science through engaging programs, activities, and exhibits.
