May's Spotlight Artist...

Please come take part of our May's Spotlight Artist, Teddi Forsyth while she makes her Tree Frog Pine Needle Baskets. Teddie comes to us from Pea Ridge, NC. She will offer on-site demonstrations in the Lobby of The Center.

Basic Painting Techniques Lecture Series & Watercolor Demonstration with Alla Rossow

Part 2
Students will be introduced to artistic vision of surrounding objects, balance and composition, light and perspective, color and painting techniques. Join us May 8th from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm in The Twiford Room. (This is the 2nd in a 3-part series, with Part 3 on Tuesday, June 8th from 3:00 pm - 4:30 pm.) Cost is $35 per class for members, and $45 per class for non-members (registration fee included).

Painted Furniture Class with Debbie Boyle - Special Weekend Edition

Spring cleaning? Spruce up your old furniture at the Painted Furniture Class with Debbie Boyle! Learn techniques, faux finishes and tromp l'oeil while you transform your piece of furniture - old or new! Think you don't have time? Think again - this class will be offered over a weekend! Join us May 14th through May 16th in The Twiford Room. The class will meet from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm on Friday, May 14th; 9:00 am to 4:00 pm on Saturday, and 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm on Sunday. Visiting Artist Joshua Been is Coming...
May 15th - May 26th

A nationally renowned landscape and plein air artist from Salida, Colorado; Joshua will be visiting Elizabeth City and painting all around town. His plein air paintings will be sold at AOA's Opening Reception. Joshua will conduct a painting demonstration as well as a plein air workshop during his stay. 'The Ever After' - A Musical

The Center Players are proud to present our first one-act musical designed for children of all ages. Our students range from ages 8 to 17 and receive intensive training in theater, vocal music and dance during each session. Our students come from all over the Pasquotank and Camden County areas.

Younger Cast performs Thursday, May 27th at 7:00 pm
Older Cast performs Friday, May 28th at 7:00 pm.
All shows are in the Maguire Theatre. Tickets are $8.00 and are on sale NOW at The Center.
