The past will come alive when Vintage Race Boats from the '40s to the '80s join today’s Inboard Hydroplanes, Jersey Speed Skiffs, and race on the Pasquotank River in Elizabeth City, NC for the 5th annual International Cup Regatta. Last year’s event brought over 7,500 spectators and over 30 race teams. This year’s event is shaping up to be even better than last years with the addition of the Vintage Race Boats and Junior Class for kids.
The vintage racing boats will participate in special exhibition races during Regatta Weekend that will feature more than eight classes of powerboat races. Regatta weekend brings large crowds and two fun-filled days of racing and exhibitions to the Elizabeth City Waterfront.
The elegant vintage boats, dynamic inboard hydroplane powerboats, unpredictable Jersey Speed Skiffs, and Junior class for kids will start arriving on Friday, June 4th, for display at Waterfront Park.
Concessionaires and exhibitors will be at Waterfront during the two days of the Regatta.
