July 2010 Events at Page After Page Bookstore

We will be having Christmas in July starting July 1st until the end of the month. We will have sales and give-aways. Stop by and get some of your Christmas shopping done early.

Page After Page Bookstore July Events:

• July 10th
  • 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
    • Tom Lewis will be here to discuss and sign his book "Zena's Law." He is also the author of the Pea Island Trilogy. In this book nurse and single mother Zena Carraway leaves Minnesota and moves south to at town in coastal North Carolina called Tyron's Cove. She soon begins to love this town and brings changes that awaken dark demons.

    • Monthly Writer's Group Meeting


• July 17th
  • 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
    • Kathy Davenport will be here for Christmas in July. She will be available to discuss and sign her book "Holly's Best Friend" which is a story inspired by a Central Elementary Wildcat and illustrations are done by 2 talented students fro Pasquotank High School. Teachers are invited to bring their wish lists for 2010/2011 school year and Santa may deliver them. Learn about Kathy's mission to raise $1 million dollars for our schools.

  • 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
    • Joseph Terrell will be here to discuss and sign his new book "Tide of Darkness: The Lost Colony Theatre Murders".
  • 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm : Fancy Nancy Explorer Party
    • All Ages Welcome, Cost $5.00 | Come and explore with Fancy Nancy from the book series.


• July 31st
  • 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
    • Joe Hoppel will be here to discuss and sign his book " People I've met, Things I've Done: 50 Years in Country Music Radio." Country music disc jockey Hall of Fame and Virginia Beach's own. This book contains lots of the author's stories gathered across a broadcasting career that spanned fifty-two years.
  • 1:00 pm - 2:30 pm : Train Party
    • Ages 2-6, Cost $5.00 | All aboard train event for children. Pre-registration required!

• Summer Reading Program started June 22nd - July 27th
  • Ages 6-8 Tuesdays and Thursdays 10:30 am - 11:30 am Reading - "Encyclopedia Brown Series"
  • Ages 9 and up Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm Reading - "Last Book in the Universe"
  • Registration required ***$5.00 per session**** Come Join the Fun!!!
