Elizabeth City State University is hosting the "Adapting to Global Recovery: Strategies for Resource Building" conference in Elizabeth City, North Carolina on September 30 and October 1, 2010. You are invited to join us in a monumental sharing of ideas and funding opportunities.
The country is bracing for the next economic "hit" while trying to rebuild confidence in the nation's recovery plan. Employees in various agencies and organizations are seeking resources for sustainability as they struggle to survive budget cuts, downsizing and relative unstable economic situations. Organizations are seeking alternatives for funding and resources.
That being said, we would like to invite you to attend our "Adapting to Global Recovery: Strategies for Resource Building" conference. You will learn about funding opportunities at different agencies. You will also learn about resource building and networking. Opportunities will be available for you to establish relationships with your colleagues and representatives of state and federal agencies such as NASA, Department of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency, and North Carolina Biotechnology Center.
The conference is expected to attract participants from neighboring institutions, public schools, colleges and universities, community organizations, churches and local businesses.
The first day of training will culminate at 6:30 pm with our Eight Biennial Awards banquet. Faculty and staff will be recognized for their accomplishments in research and sponsored programs activities for the past two years. The second day of training, which is a half day, will focus on grants management and auditing principles for grants and contracts.
