2010 School Supply Drive
“2 Give + 2 Kids = 4 Success”
August 2nd through August 23rd
As the new school year approaches, many children in the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools (ECPPS) and Camden County School System lack the school supplies to start the school year out right. We are inviting and encouraging businesses and individuals to participate in the Chamber of Commerce first year’s school supply collection drive called “2 Give + 2 Kids = 4 Success”. The drive is held to collect school supplies to provide to students in need who attend school in the ECPPS and Camden County School System. With your help we can make a difference!
School supplies needed include: backpacks, notebook paper, one-, two-, or three-inch notebook binders, one-subject spiral notebooks, construction paper, dry-erase markers and highlighter sets, pens, pencils, erasers, wide-rule notebook paper, colored pencil and marker sets, large glue sticks, and 16- and 24-count crayons.
The Chamber has set-up a collection barrel at the following drop-off points: Chamber of Commerce lobby, Coastal Office Supplies, Office Max, and Walmart. The items will be collected from August 2nd through August 23rd. At the end of the drive all collected items will be delivered to ECPPS and Camden County School System for distribution to disadvantaged students. Individuals who wish to donate school supplies are encouraged to place your items at any of the mentioned locations.
