THIS FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22nd IS HATS ON DAY!
All the Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce asks is that you wear a hat on Friday and pay at LEAST $1.00 to do it!
They are encouraging all Chamber Members, Businesses, Schools, Hospitals, Military, Restaurants, and everyone from the community to participate for this worthy cause!
It’s SIMPLE, EASY & CHEAP and raises LOTS of money for a wonderful cause!
They are so excited to now be a part of this wonderful cause and EACH and EVERY ONE of you can help! All of the money collected will go to their new Chamber Member, Foundation for Children with Cancer.

They encourage all of you to take pictures on “Hats on Day” and send your photos to them for the Chamber facebook page as well as the facebook page for Foundation for Children with Cancer.
This program has generated over ONE MILLION DOLLARS in the past 10 years! And it was started by a group of six-graders in St. Louis, Missouri who wanted to help a classmate that suffered from cancer.
Collect all the money from your group, write the name on an envelope and drop it off at the Chamber by Nov. 1, 2010. All contributions will be sent directly to the Foundation for Children with Cancer.
