UPDATE FROM FT. RALEIGH DIG

(Elizabeth City, NC) The Guild of Museum Friends will feature a presentation by archaeologist Clay Swindell at the Museum of the Albemarle for their monthly meeting Thursday, January 6, at 10:30 a.m. Mr Swindell, Collections Specialist for the Museum and researcher for the First Colony Foundation will present a brief summary of previous and future archaeological research relating to the Elizabethan Roanoke colonies of the 16th century. Recent discoveries by First Colony archaeologists include a copper necklace on display at the Museum. Call 252-335-1453 for more information.
