Dixieland Speedway’s 2011 Car Show

(Elizabeth City, NC) Join the Museum of the Albemarle on Saturday, April 16, from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm to view How It All Began...White Lightnin’: Whiskey and Revenuers and the race cars of Dixieland Speedway’s 2011 racing season. As the exhibit White Lightnin’: Whiskey and Revenuers comes to a close the Museum will be the site of Dixieland Speedway’s annual car show. Talk with the drivers and crew, see the race cars and reminisce about the past. Not only will race cars will be on display but go-karts, 4-wheelers, motorcycles and show cars. Come on out and join in the fun and excitement. This will be your last chance to view the “White Lightnin’” exhibit and the ’57 Chevy in the lobby! While at the Museum viewing White Lightnin’: Whiskey and Revenuers and the various forms of motorized racing, grab a bite to eat from Bob-B-Q’s kitchen on wheels. This is a free family event! {Food costs are extra.}
