June 2011: International Cup Perpetual Trophy and Power Boat Artifacts on Display in the Museum

(Elizabeth City, NC) Visit the Museum of the Albemarle for a special showing of artifacts from early power boat racing on the Pasquotank River. The display, in conjunction with this year’s International Cup Regatta, features the Perpetual Trophy and several newly acquired items from Frank McNaughton, a local power boat racer and enthusiast. This exhibit will be on display through June 11th. Please join us for the First Friday Artwalk and Saturdays’ power boat races. The Museum will extend viewing times from 5:30-7:00 pm on Friday and is open from 10 a.m.- 4p.m. on Saturday. The Pottery exhibit will be open and admission is free.
