Details: Old-fashioned family fun. Farm Heritage Parade on
Saturday, June 8th, 2013 at 10am in downtown Edenton. Tractor & draft horses
in competition and shows. Heritage Village featuring: Lard Making, Quilting,
Butter Making, Decoys, Corn Shucking & Shelling, Blacksmithing, Cracklings,
Lard Rendering, Hay baling, Wood Carving, Pea Picker, Food and more.
Demonstrations to delight all ages - always great food, fun and entertainment.
The parade will begin at the American Legion at 9:30 am and travel through
downtown Edenton with many horses, horse drawn carriages and antique tractors -
a wonderful parade for all to enjoy! Overnight camping available at fairgrounds.

DETAILS: Enjoy a parade of Antique implements, both horse drawn and tractor
powered.
Hear the hit and miss engines as they churn ice cream or grind corn.
Watch hay bales being created under real horse power...the four legged kind.
Witness the separation of peanuts from their vines via a stationary peanut
picker.
Root for your favorite horse or teamster in a Friendly draft horse
driving competition.
Tap your feet to the beat of Bluegrass music.
Registration of tractors and horses and mules starts at 8:00 a.m. on
Saturday, gates open at 9:00 a.m. and the event runs until 5:00 p.m.
Parade
through downtown Edenton begins at approximately 10:00 a.m. forming at the
Legion at 9:00 a.m.
Concessions including Bar-B-Que and home made ice cream
will be available.
Horse drawn antique logging, hay baling, pea picking and
handy craft demonstrations.
Antique tractors, equipment, horses and mules
and other items of interest will be on display.
