Winner of 7 Tony awards, this beloved Broadway musical sets Dorothy's adventures in the Land of Oz to music in a dazzling, lively mixture of rock, gospel, and soul!  In this modern adaptation of The Wizard of Oz- Dorthy is caught up by a tornado in Kansas, but instead of being blown to a magical kingdom -she finds herself in an urban Oz. Meeting up with the Munchkins, she is sent off to see the Wiz. Along the way she meets the Scarecrow, the Tinman, and the Lion. While different in outlook, all four friends still struggle with the same same needs: to get home; to get a brain; to get a heart; and to find courage. Battling the evil witch, Evilenne, they must work together in order defeat her. Will they be able to do it? What magic do the Good Witches Glinda and Addaperle have in store for Dorothy?
