Reading Paintings: Art as Historical Artifact
Please join the Museum of the Albemarle on Tuesday, May 6, at 1:30 p.m. for the final gallery talk in conjunction with the special exhibit, “Across Three Centuries: Art from the Edwin T. and Diana D. Hardison Collection.”  To emphasize the link between the Museum’s mission and the exhibit, our topic for the day will be “Reading Paintings: Art as Historical Artifact.” Come out for commentary from Drs. Edwin & Diana Hardison on what we can learn about history through the study of art of earlier ages.  The exhibit closes on May 31, 2014.
