Fundraising Dance featuring “Full Deck”
A Fundraising Dance sponsored by…Friends of the Museum of the Albemarle, Saturday, June 28, 2014
It was in 1995 that the four original band members reunited under the new moniker, “Full Deck.” During that period and over the next fourteen years, several other local talented musicians, including Jerry White, became a part of the band. Although others came and went, the original four remained pretty much intact while gaining the exceptionally-talented Chris Betts. The band performed together over the next three years as “Full Deck” and entertained at practically every venue in the area including local nightclubs, the Potato Festival, Riverspree, private parties, wedding receptions, fundraisers, and in several Virginia venues. After a three-year hiatus, those five bandmates came back together in 2013 with the addition of the much-needed keyboard talent of Sylvia Berry, bringing “Full Deck” to their complete six-member team.
You don’t want to miss this fun evening and other than brief intermissions, the band will continue to play through 10 pm. Along with the great music and dancing, the ticketed event includes light snacks and a CASH BAR that includes soft drinks, beer, and assorted wines. So, bring a few extra dollars along with you to assure your thirst is quenched throughout the evening. Cash Bar will accept cash only.
Don’t wait until the last minute to get your tickets as this is sure to be another sell-out. There will be a few tables available as well as chairs, but to assure you have a seat, feel free to bring your own fold-up chair. No seating will be reserved but will be on a first come basis.
