ECSU Junior Scores Career High 25 Points as Vikings Win Final Game of 2009

TAKOMA PARK, MD - Elizabeth City State junior guard Trent Bivens scored a career high 25 points as the Vikings defeated Washington Adventist University Sunday afternoon at The Pitt.
For the game ECSU shot a season best 50.9% from the field including 16-26 (61%) in the second half. After holding a slim 30-29 at the intermission, the Vikings opened up the second session with a 17-2 run to put the game out of reach. The Shock (2-7) committed 19 turnovers which led to 31 Viking points and shot only 35% from the field (23-65).
The Shock had three players in double figures as Antonio Ortega finished with a team high 19 points.
Marquie Cooke was the only other Viking to tally double figures with 11 points along with 5 assists, 5 steals, 7 rebounds and a blocked shot.
