Seven Surgical Technology
graduates received their surgical technology pins and caps at College of The Albemarle’s
(COA’s) tenth annual pinning ceremony in late July.
Held in the COA Auditorium,
the late
afternoon ceremony was a traditional service and included pinning lapel pins
and taking the Surgical Technologists’ Pledge. Dr. Kandi Deitemeyer gave the
welcome address and Surgical Technology Program Coordinator Brandy Wooten
presented awards.
Awards were presented to several
surgical technology graduates for their dedication to the program. Florida
Harrington, Heather Knight and Natalie Tyler received Academic Excellence
Awards. The Academic Recognition Award was presented to Colleen Simpson, and
the Albemarle Hospital Volunteer Services Award went to Heather Knight.
