"Artie the Spud" invites you to show off your artistic sculpting talents at this year’s Potato Peeling Contest in downtown Elizabeth City. Scheduled for May 16, 2009, beginning at 10:30 am, up to 28 teams will carve the skins from a bucket of spuds in the hopes of engraving their names onto the "Best in Show" canvas.So, round up some aspiring spud artists and form a collage (team) of artisans to showcase your potato peeling craftsmanship. Call it an art or call it a craft, we call it a "palette-able" gallery of good fun!
Attached is a registration form. Please complete and mail it, along with your registration fee, to NC Potato Festival, P.O. Box 364, Elizabeth City NC 27907-0364.
Whether you are a critic, a collector, or simply an appreciator, this is a good opportunity for team building and a great way to "draw" exposure to your business. It's easier than paint by numbers!
