UPDATE: Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative march held January 18

The ECSU Office of Student Life announces a change in the route of the Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative march. The press release below replaces the press release distributed on January 8, 2010.

Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative march held January 18

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE ---- The Office of Student Life at Elizabeth City State University will hold the annual Martin Luther King Jr. commemorative march at 9:30 am on January 18. Participants will march from the G. R. Little Library on campus to City Hall, 306 East Colonial Avenue in Elizabeth City. Mr. Linwood Williams, superintendent of the Elizabeth City-Pasquotank Public Schools, is the speaker for the program at City Hall. The general public, church groups, social and civic clubs are welcome to participate in the march.

In the event of inclement weather, Mr. Williams will speak at Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, 507 South Martin Luther King Jr. Drive. For more information, please contact the ECSU Office of Student Life, 252-335-3654.
