GILL NAMED TO ALL-CIAA WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TEAM
Junior Forward Voted as one of the CIAA’s Top Players

HAMPTON, VA- Elizabeth City State junior forward Kenyatta Gill has been named to the 2010 All-CIAA Women’s basketball team as voted by the CIAA Women’s basketball Coaches Association.

Gill, who leads the Lady Vikings in points and rebounds, was named CIAA Newcomer of the Week six times this season. Astoundingly she ranks in the top 15 every CIAA category except assist/turnover ratio. A native of Mobile, AL, she is 9th in scoring, 8th in rebounding, 11th in field goal percentage, 13th in assists, 11th in free throw percentage, 15th in steals, 5th in 3-point field goal percentage, 9th in 3-point field goals made and 11th in blocked shots.

This season she has scored in double figures 18 times and in 8 games she has been the Lady Vikings’ leading scorer.

The All-CIAA Women’s Basketball team will be honored at the tip off luncheon Tuesday in Charlotte, NC.
