MARK YOUR CALENDARS! EXPO 2010 IS COMING SOON!

The Elizabeth City Area Chamber of Commerce and The College of The Albemarle Small Business Center are excited to present the 19th Annual Business Expo on Tuesday, March 23, 2010 at K. E. White Center on the Elizabeth City State University Campus. This year's theme, "Oceans of Opportunity" focuses on the many opportunities Expo has to advertise the products and services of our local businesses and is being generously sponsored by CenturyLink, Albemarle Health and A. R. Chesson Construction Company, Inc.

There will be some great attractions from 10:00 am - 3:30 pm so the public can attend Expo on their lunch hour for only $1 since Famous Franks will be selling their delicious hot dogs and sausages. Guests will also get to sample treats made right before their eyes by Chef Andy Montero of Montero's Restaurant, Bar & Catering and dipping of chocolate by The Chocolate House. Chef Harry Williams of Thumpers Bar & Grille will be offering samples of his delicious concoctions made with Anheiser Busch beer products provided by City Beverage.

The Chamber has attained their goal of selling out of their more than fifty booths in record time. In addition to the booths, there will be numerous activities and demonstrations to encourage the public to attend Expo to support our local businesses. There will complimentary paper shredding by Shred-X and everyone is encouraged to bring their boxes of paper for shredding. Other free events include ServiceMaster professionally steam cleaning car mats, H1N1 shots from Albemarle Regional Health and health screenings from Albemarle Health and Albemarle Audiology. There will be an SPCA Adopt-A-Thon, a live radio broadcast from Beach 104, tips on looking your best from LeBlanc Salon and eating your best from The Downtown Waterfront Market.

Hall Honda of Elizabeth City will be there to reveal their brand new 2010 Honda Crosstour while The Chocolate House will be revealing her new personalized Easter eggs.

For the sporty types, we have golf tips from a pro at The Pines, a Cornhole Competition and a workout demo by Lin Bennett of Fitness Factors to show that all ages are capable of and can benefit from exercise.

In the evening, the K. E. White Center at ECSU will convert to the official Beach Bash party celebration! This "After Expo" event is a $25 ticketed event from 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm and includes all you can eat delicious heavy appetizers by Montero's, and beverages donated by Coca Cola Bottling Co., beer from City Beverage, and wine from Albemarle Distributing.
