BUILDERS BLOW BY VIKINGS 15-1


Big Seventh Inning Propels Apprentice School to Victory

March 9, 2010

HAMPTON, VA- The Apprentice School rolled to a 15-1 victory over Elizabeth City State University Tuesday afternoon at War Memorial Coliseum.

Josh Tuck and Jonathan Dehoux both hit homers in the contest. Tuck’s solo shot put the Builders (7-4) on the board first in the bottom of the 1st while Dehoux’s three-run dinger gave the home team a 6-0 lead through 4 innings.

The in the seventh, the Builders broke the game open scoring 7 runs on 8 hits. Stephen Green smashed a two-out homer in the top of the 7th, his second of the season, for the Vikings’ only run.

ECSU (4-5) will return to action when they travel to Cary, NC to take on Shepherd University on Saturday and Bluefield State College on Sunday. Both games will begin at 12 noon. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com
