- Dragons and Damsels
- Join us in the park auditorium at 10:30 a.m. for a discussion of dragonflies and damselflies. Learn a little of the folklore as well as some interesting facts about these amazing aerial predators. We will follow our discussion with a short walk outside in search of some of our common species. Insect repellent is recommended.

- Kayaking the Canal
- Join a ranger for a leisurely paddle along the historic Dismal Swamp Canal. The paddle begins at 9:30 a.m. and will last approximately 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Kayaks, PFDs and paddles will be supplied, but you will need to bring your sunscreen, bug spray and water. Program is limited to 8 participants and pre-registration is required. Please call the park office at 252-771-6593 to reserve your spot.

- Wetland Animals
