FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE---The Counseling Center at Elizabeth City State University will coordinate three sessions of New Student Orientation (NSO) for new freshmen. The session dates are June 17-18, July 15-16 and August 12-13.
During NSO, students receive academic advisement and register for classes. All new students are required to attend an orientation program prior to enrolling in the Fall or Spring semester. Placement testing for freshmen (computer-based math, reading and writing) will begin promptly at 8:30 am one day prior to the orientation sessions. Students should report to the Information Technology Center (ITC) building at least 15 minutes prior to testing time. Placement tests must be completed before students attend NSO.
Transfer students will gather for orientation on July 16 and August 14. The New Student Orientation fee for new freshmen is $100 and $50 for Transfer Students. Parents/Guardians are welcome to attend.
