WALK ACROSS THE HISTORIC 1929 "S" BRIDGE
It's the ONLY "S" Swing Bridge in the WORLD!!!
The walk begins in front of Hertford's Historic Courthouse. Your journey, on what we hope will be a gorgeous, colorful and crisp Fall day, will take you past many beautiful historic old homes, across the bridge and back, winding up on the Courthouse Green.
2:00 pm ~ Welcome Walkers & Goal Presentation
~ "Carolina Moon" presented by the Senior Citizens Choir
2:15 pm ~ BRIDGE WALK BEGINS ...
2:40 pm ~ Return to the Courthouse
~ "To Sharp To Be Flat" Barbershop Quartet
~ Visit with local historian Charlie Skinner
~ Examine the exhibit of the many bridge replacement/bypass options - and then SIGN THE PETITION!
~ Light refreshments will be offered by the Hertford Baptist Church Youth
~ Sidewalk "Bargain" Sales by local merchants
3:00 pm ~ Event concludes with "Carolina Moon" by Soloist Phil McMullan
