LADY VIKINGS BREEZE PAST WASHINGTON ADVENTIST UNIVERSITY

ECSU Extends Win Streak to Six Games

ELIZABETH CITY, NC - The Elizabeth City State University Lady Vikings picked up their sixth straight win with a 79-29 win over Washington Adventist University Sunday afternoon at the RL Vaughan Center.

With the victory the Lady Vikings improve to 6-2 overall while the Lady Shock remains winless with a 0-8 mark.

ECSU led the entire contest and despite 17 first half turnovers, led their opponent by twenty (37-17) at the intermission. The Lady Vikings outscored WAU 38-10 in the paint and used 27 offensive rebounds to earn a 30-9 edge in second chance points.

Vanessa Rice was the only member of the Lady Shock to net double figures with a game high 16 points.

Kenyatta Gill scored a team high 12 points while Ya’Shonti Bridgers and DaShera Boone scored 11 and 10 points respectively, off the bench.

ECSU will hit the road on Thursday, December 16 when they travel to Lakewood, NJ to take on Georgian Court University. Game time is scheduled for 6:00 pm. For more information on ECSU Athletics, visit www.ecsuvikings.com.
