JOIN US FOR THE 8TH ANNUAL

PADDLE FOR THE BORDER

PADDLE FOR THE BORDER SCHEDULE:

• Starting at 7:30 AM
  • DROP OFF YOUR BOAT — SOUTH MILLS, NC
    • Report to the Dismal Swamp Canal Welcome Center AND Dismal Swamp State Park in South Mills, NC. Off-load your boat and passengers. To facilitate registration and launch, please do not arrive before 7:00 AM.
  • DRIVE TO GLENCOE ROAD OFF RT. 17 to park in Chesapeake, VA
    • Follow Glencoe Rd. to the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail. Staff will be there to direct you where to park your vehicle.


• 8:00 AM - 9:00 AM
  • SHUTTLE/REGISTRATION/BREAKFAST
    • Take bus shuttle from the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail back to the launch site at NC Welcome Center and Dismal Swamp State Park. Pick up registration package. Enjoy breakfast.


• 8:30 AM - 10:00 AM
  • LAUNCH
    • Launch canoes/kayaks from the Dismal Swamp Canal Welcome Center and Dismal Swamp State Park in South Mills, NC.


• 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM
  • PICNIC
    • Lunch on grounds of the Dismal Swamp Canal Trail at the Great Dismal Swamp Boat Ramp at Ballahack Rd. in Chesapeake, VA.
