Student Elected to Become Statewide SGA Secretary

COA student, Anastasia Izvekova, was recently offered the position of Secretary within The North Carolina Comprehensive Community College Student Government Association, a statewide Student Government Association which represents all of North Carolina’s

community colleges. As Secretary, Anastasia will meet with the N4CSGA at various community colleges across the state. Regarding the new nomination, the current president of the N4CSGA had this to say, “The commitment Anastasia expressed to keep the N4CSGA focused on the issues would make her perfect fit for the position of Secretary.”

Anastasia served as a Senator during her first semester at COA and currently holds the positions of Public Information Officer for SGA, president of the International Club and vice-president of the Literary Club on the Dare County campus. She will be serving as Secretary on the N4CSGA Executive Board during the 2013-2014 terms.
