FSU Rallies From Behind; Closes Game on 20-7 Run to Earn First Win of 2010

FAYETTEVILLE,NC - The Fayetteville State University Lady Broncos rode a late scoring surge to a 72-65 win Saturday evening at Capel Arena.
After a Kearah Jefferys jumper put ECSU up 58-52 the Lady Broncos went on a scoring tear, pouring in 19 unanswered to break open what had been a competitive contest. The game saw 7 ties and 7 lead changes, all in the first half and ECSU held a 37-30 lead at the break.
The Lady Vikings would only score once more from the field via a three-pointer by Shaquella Johnson with 7 seconds left. L’Oreal Price scored 10 of her game high 18 points in the second half while Danielle Russell netted 17 points for FSU who improves to 5-3 overall and 3-1 in conference play.
Jefferys led the Lady Vikings with a season high 17 points. Johnson finished with 14 points and Kenyatta Gill added 10 points.
