Stringing a faking box at MOA

In the photo below, US Coast Guard Seaman Jake Whitsell (left) and Petty Officer 3rd Class Caleb Baeza (right), an Elizabeth City native, string a ca.1900 "faking box," a rescue device to be shown in the US Coast Guard exhibit "Out of the Blue" opening October 3 at the Museum of the Albemarle in Elizabeth City. Both servicemen are stationed at the Oregon Inlet Coast Guard Station on the Outer Banks.
