Freshman Guard Receives Honor for Third Consecutive Week

HAMPTON, VA - Elizabeth City State University freshman guard Angelo Sharpless has been CIAA Rookie of the Week as announced by the CIAA Office Monday morning.
This marks the third straight week that the Plymouth, NC native has been named the league’s top rookie.
In the Vikings win over Lincoln (PA) University last week Sharpless collected his second double-double of the season with 22 points and 10 rebounds. He currently ranks as the Vikings fourth leading scorer at 10.9 points per game and is second in rebounding at 6.8 boards per contest.
