
ECSU Captures Tenth Win of the Season; Improves To 4-1 at Home

ELIZABETH CITY, NC - Elizabeth City State University placed four in double figures in a 71-53 win over Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Wednesday evening at the RL Vaughan Center.
Kenyatta Gill led the Lady Vikings with a team high 16 points while both April Whitaker and Joyce Freeman tipped in with 10 point apiece. Shaquella Johnson added 14 points off the bench.
ECSU shot 46% from the field in the first half and scored 19 second chance points in route to a comfortable 42-28 halftime lead. The Lady Lions (2-13) trailed the entire game, managed only 25 second half points and shot only 34% from the field. Danielle Smallwood led all scorers with 22 points while Sharay Dubose finished with 16 points.
ECSU’s bench outscored Lincoln’s reserves 28-4.
