LADY VIKINGS CRUISE TO 64-46 WIN OVER LINCOLN UNIVERSITY


Second Half Scoring Spurt Propels ECSU to Season Sweep of Lady Lions

LINCOLN, PA- The Elizabeth City State Lady Vikings opened the second half on a 14-2 run and coasted to 64-46 win over Lincoln University of Pennsylvania Saturday afternoon at Manuel Rivero Hall.

As a team ECSU connected on a season high 10 three-pointers on 18 attempts (55.6%) and held the Lady Lions to a season low 25% from the field (13-52). The Lady Vikings also out-rebounded Lincoln 49-35 and the ECSU reserves outscored their counterparts 47-8.

All but one Lady Viking scored in Saturday’s win as the Lady Lions slip to 3-19 overall. Shaquella Johnson was the high Lady Viking with 12 points while Kearah Jefferys added 11 points in just 14 minutes of play.

LU’s Sharay Dubose led all scorers with a game high 19 points.

ECSU (16-8) will host their final home game of the year when they host Saint Paul’s College on Monday at the RL Vaughan Center.
